Water outage due to system improvements, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality has required the system to notify all customers in the affected area to boil their water prior to consumption.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes. This includes water for drinking, cooking, and ice making. The water should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be boiled vigorous for 2 minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottle water or obtain water from other suitable sources. When it is no longer necessary to boil your water, the water system will notify you.

The District will shut-off water to the entire community for six hours nightly, for two nights, on May 8, 2018 and May 9, 2018. On both nights, the water will be shut off at 10 p.m. and be restored at 4:30 a.m. the following morning. This is to enable the installation of several new isolation valves located throughout the District as part of the District's Capital Improvement Project. Because of the planned water outage, there will be a boil water notice issued for the entire District. This boil water notice is expected to last until May 10, 2018. We appreciate your patience during this period of upgrade to the water system.

The May bill was sent out in a letter sized envelope enclosed with an informational letter and a survey. It is very important that everyone reads the informational letter, and returns your survey to the MUD office as all MUD staff and Board of Director's hope to be of better service to the entire community.

BOIL WATER NOTIFICATION
RAYBURN COUNTRY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT
SECTION 7, 10, and 14s ONLY
DUE TO A WATER LINE CUT THAT HAS OCCURRED IN THE WATER SYSTEM, THE TEXAS COMMISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY HAS REQUIRED THE SYSTEM TO NOTIFY ALL CUSTOMERS IN THE AFFECTED AREA TO BOIL THEIR WATER PRIOR TO CONSUMPTION.
TO ENSURE DESTRUCTION OF ALL HARMFULL BACTERIA AND OTHER MICROBES. This notice is to inform our customers of a temporary switch to free chlorine in our water system. This switch is considered regular annual maintenance and has been approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
You might experience a slight taste and odor change in the water. The temporary switch will start on December 1, 2017 and last until December 31, 2017. The District appreciates your patience in this matter.
